DAVID ON ASSIGNMENT IN NIGERIA
Remember the Oscar winning movie “No Country For Old Men”? The title resonates slightly more after the past few days on assignment in Nigeria (see above)!
Good photography is about great access. On that morning (see below), I had a tough and intense audience with The Chief of Makoko and his entourage.
Makoko is a floating slum town in #Nigeria that sane people do not enter. It is not safe. But the Chief was won over and with his own security detail and approval, we went where “angels fear to tread “.
As days go, that was a very special one. The adrenaline and intensity never faded. Above, is King Kong – a man nobody crosses in Makoko. Oh my goodness do we have some images from this assignment. 3 months of preparation massively paid off.
