David Yarrow Announced As New Nikon European Ambassador

I am delighted to announce that Nikon have chosen me to become a European ambassador. It is flattering to be in the company of some truly great photographers.

I have used Nikon’s cameras and NIKKOR lenses for over thirty five years, and they have played a huge part in every path I’ve chosen, including my first big assignment to the World Cup Finals in Mexico in 1986. The brand's aesthetics and ergonomics have just got better and better, and I struggle to think of another company who understands the needs of professional and amateur photographers alike.

My photography career has been less than conventional, and it’s fair to say I have refused to be pigeonholed into one central “theme” or “area of expertise”. Yet throughout this, photography has remained a method of redemption and escapism for me; an opportunity to explore far flung corners of the world and capture extreme environments and the rare wildlife that call these places home.

Photography is the art form of our generation and I hope my work as a Nikon European Ambassador will help encourage and inspire people to use their mobile phones less and their eyes more. That’s what this job is all about.
