Announcement – David becomes a Global Ambassador for UBS

For about nine months, my Cara image has been at airports around the world. It always makes arriving at Terminal 5 at Heathrow fun and we enjoy being sent new photographs of the campaign from airports around the world. Last month it was Antigua and Sydney.

I never imagined that in 2019 airports would also feature another campaign that is even closer to home, because it has my face on it. This is clearly a material downgrade from Cara. I much prefer being behind the camera than in front of it and I apologise to one and all.

The reason for this visual affront is that I have been appointed as a global ambassador for the bank - UBS and will play a role in their Sustainability Campaign. I am actually very proud of this association and look forward to meeting many interesting people at speaking engagements around the world.

I have had a long relationship with the bank and over the years have built up many close friendships. David Knight, an MD in their Investment Bank, has sat on the Board of David Yarrow Photography since the beginning and has been a constant pillar of support for me in the City of London.

UBS is, of course, committed to the arts, with their branding very much associated with Art Basel. I feel it is therefore a conceptually tight partnership and I will do all I can to vindicate UBS’s flattering decision.
