Book Launch

 
Our new book from Rizzoli New York will be released in the autumn. It promises to have quite an impact and I am delighted that Tom Brady - the New England Patriots' quarterback, and probably the greatest American sportsman of his generation - has agreed to write the foreword and collaborate on the fund raising. As with my previous book - Wild Encounters - which is in its 4th reprint, all royalties will go towards conservation.

My children were lucky enough to meet Tom last summer in Boston when we delivered a picture. It was about the only time I have been considered a cool Dad. Tom and his wife - Gisele Bündchen - are increasingly involved in supporting sustainability and conservation initiatives and it seems a great fit.

We will start our global book tour in the autumn. Please keep an eye on our web site as the itinerary evolves. We hope to visit at least 20 cities with the show and book before the year end.

Svalbard with NWS

 
My affiliation with Natural World Safaris is headlined by one trip that I lead every year with paying guests. It is really not part of what we do at all but NWS are best in class and I have made some good friendships along the way, no more so than Jonathan Lee, who is a good photographer and an even better man. I will be leading a new group of 12 to Svalbard in April - so very early in the season and I look forward to meeting the crowd this time around. I fancy our chances of polar bear sightings and am confident we will have lots of fun in the process.
